• I sprayed the flies and they came back the next day. Why?

  You killed the ones in the air, but not the maggots in the bin or drain. Those turn into new flies within days. So finding and clearing that source is the real job, and it is the first thing our technician looks for. The spray comes afterwards.

• What are the tiny fuzzy flies on my bathroom wall?

  Most likely drain flies. They grow in the slimy layer inside your pipe. Take a stiff brush to the drain for a week, then see. If you still get them, ask us to treat that drain on our visit, and we will look at the other drains in that bathroom.

• My shop is next to the market. Will treatment even help?

  It will help, but we will not pretend that no fly will ever cross your door. We clear anything breeding inside the shop, then put up traps and spray where they sit. A strip curtain makes a big difference. Market shops normally do better on regular visits than one.

• Can you control flies in my restaurant without closing it?

  Yes. We come once your last table has left, so you can open as normal the next morning. We go through your waste area and floor drains, and keep traps well away from food. Tell us when you shut, and whether any inspection is coming up soon.

• Is fly spray safe to use around my food?

  The spray goes on walls and other places where flies sit, not where you cook or eat. Please put away or cover all food before we come. In a working kitchen we use less spray, and more traps and cleaning. We will tell you when you can start cooking again.

• I keep my flat clean. Why do I still get flies?

  Because they do not all start in your flat. A garbage room, a plant pot, a drain or the neighbour's bin can each be the cause. Check your own bins, drains and fruit first. If those are all fine, we can help you work out where else they are coming from.

• Is one visit enough to get rid of flies?

  For a flat, often yes, as long as the source is cleared on that visit. A busy kitchen or a market shop usually needs more, because fresh waste arrives daily. Our technician will say which applies to you, and you do not have to sign anything on the spot.

• Why are there so many fruit flies around my kitchen?

  Something near you has gone sour. Check the fruit bowl, the onion basket, old juice cartons, a wet mop and the bin. Throw out what you find, and rinse bottles before binning them. If they have not gone in a week, ask us to help track down the source.

• If flies come back after your treatment, do I pay again?
